Garry Gene Bush Jr, age 57, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, April 8th, 2018.
Garry was born on July 1, 1960 to Garry "Gene" and Janice (Jones) Bush in Coffeyville, KS. He graduated from Caney Valley High School in 1978.
Garry married Jana Wilson on July 27th, 1986 in Tyro, KS. They have enjoyed a life together in their rural Caney home for nearly 32 years.
Garry retired in February 2017 from Phillips 66 after 36 years of service.
Garry is survived by wife, Jana of the home; 3 children, Mandie Bush of Caney, Jalaa Stultz of Tulsa, and Clint Bush of Caney, and 5 grandchildren, Jalen, Ethan, Josie, Colton, and Cameron, his parents Gene and Janice Bush of Caney, brother, Michael Bush and his wife Cathy of Havana, sister Cheryl and husband Rick Wilson of Caney. Garry was preceded in death by grandparents, father-in-law, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law.
Garry was a long time member of Tyro Christian Church. He loved sporting events. He was very active in coaching his children's sporting events when they were younger. Also watching his grandchildren play as well. Garry also loved watching and going to KU basketball and Washington Redskin football games. Garry also loved having projects going on at the home. Which also includes helping the Wilson women's craft days, and any honey do project Jana may have hinted at. He also loved hosting and cooking out on the grill for the family get togethers and with a little arm twisting a game or 2 of cards afterwards.
Services Celebrating the life of Garry will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2 pm at Tyro Christian Church. Evangelist, David Bycroft and Lead Minister, Nathan Bolt will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville from 6 to 8pm. Garry's final resting place will be at the Fawn Creek Cemetery in rural Tyro, KS. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made payable to Tyro Christian Church - Bush Grandchildren Education Fund in memory of Garry.
