Ada Viola Avery, age 85, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Monday, December 3, 2012 at the St. Johns Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2012 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel with Mike Avery and Harol Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the FordWulfBruns Chapel.

Visitation hours will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel.

The family has suggested memorials to the First Southern Baptist Church and contributions may be left at the FordWulfBruns Chapel.

Ada Viola Avery was born April 27, 1927 in Rural Coffeyville, Kansas to David S. and M. Ethel Lovelace Wilson. She grew up in rural Coffeyville, Kansas and attended schools in Coffeyville.

On July 21, 1944 Ada Viola married Floyd Burton Avery in Independence, Kansas. The couple made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas and in rural Coffeyville. Ada Viola was a homemaker and a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons Steve Avery and wife Pam of Caney, Kansas and Mike Avery and wife Gayle of Deland, Florida two daughters JoAnn Owens and husband Dave of Coffeyville, Kansas and Linda Walls and husband Clint of Caney, Kansas one brother Raymond Wilson and wife Virginia of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren with one on the way, 2 step grandchildren, and 12 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 7 brothers and 4 sisters.
