Albert Eden

Albert Al William Eden, age 63, of Pittsburg, Kansas went home to be with the Lord on February 26, 2013 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Celebration of Life Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Robbins Cemetery with Ron Eden officiating under the direction of the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 with the family receiving friends at the FordWulfBruns Chapel. Friends may leave online condolences at www.fordwulfbrunsfuneralhome.com

The family has suggested memorials to the Gideon Bibles and contributions may be left at the FordWulfBruns Chapel.

Al was born on December 31, 1949 in Breckenridge, Texas to Adrian Robert and Bethany Anita Cooper Eden. The family moved to Caney, Kansas in 1950 where Al would spend the next 53 years. The past ten years, Al was a resident of a group home in Pittsburg, Kansas operated by the Mosaic Corporation.

While a resident of Pittsburg, Al enjoyed competing in Special Olympics. He was an inspiration to many people. Al was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Flossie Anita Ann Eden, and one niece Janelle Renee Eden.

Al is survived by one sister, Mary Beth England and husband Marvin, two brothers Robert Eden and wife Dinah and twin brother Cal. Other survivors include five nieces, two nephews, six greatnieces and seven greatnephews.

Al will always be remembered as a loving and caring son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
