Albert Underwood

Albert A. Underwood, age 84, of rural Coffeyville, Kansas died Friday, December 07, 2012 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Underwood, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012 at FordWulfBruns Chapel with Pastor James Reynaert officiating. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of FordWulfBruns Chapel
Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel with the family receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The family has suggested memorials be mailed to ADRA Adventist Development Relief Agency 1205 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904, or can be left with FordWulfBruns Chapel.
Albert Andrew Underwood was born June 1, 1928 to Joseph F. Ora Lee Underwood in Coffeyville, Kansas. He grew up in Coffeyville, attending schools in Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kindley High School.
On February 3, 1951 Albert married Helen Hope Haskins in Coffeyville, Kansas. The couple made their home in Coffeyville, of that union two daughters were born, Cheryl Denise Jorgeson and Kathy E. Underwood. Albert worked at Pressure Cast as a molder for seventeen years. During his retirement he enjoyed tinkering on lawn mowers, gardening and taking immaculate care of his own lawn. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife Hope of the home, two daughters Cheryl Denise Jorgeson of Russellville, Missouri, and Kathy E. Underwood of Woodridge, Illinois, two grandchildren, Andrew Jorgenson and wife Heidi, Melody Stout and husband Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Betty Bohannon.
