Longtime Coffeyville resident, Alberta Victory, 83, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008 at CRMC. Alberta was born on March 11, 1925 in Pryor, Oklahoma, the daughter of Albert and Alice Jackson Thompson. She grew up on a farm and attended school in the Lone Chapel area where she was also a member of the Lone Chapel Assembly of God Church. On August 1, 1943, she married Charlie SimualSim Victory in Pryor. They made their home in Pryor for several years and later moved to a farm east of Coffeyville in 1954. Alberta was a homemaker for many years. She is survived by her three sons, Charley L. Victory and wife, Debra and Jerdie W. Victory and wife, Linda, all of Coffeyville, and Darrell D. Victory and wife, Lisa of Salina; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one sister, Lorene Brannon of Catoosa, OK. Preceding her in death were her husband, Sim in 2002, her parents, and two sisters, Dorthy Hendrickson and Cora Brannon. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel of Coffeyville where friends may call to sign the guest register on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Interment will follow funeral services in Penwell-Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
