Alfred B. Clark 1921 - 2005 Alfred B. Clark, age 83, longtime Coffeyville, Kansas resident passed away on November 23, 2005 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, Coffeyville, Kansas. He was born December 20, 1921 in Dexter, Kansas to Ray D. Clark amp; Elva L. Baker Clark. Alfred grew up on a family farm in the Cedar Vale, Kansas area. He was a 1940 graduate of Cedar Vale High School. He then graduated from Coffeyville Junior College 1942. In 1942 he entered the US Navy, he served during WWII. He was stationed in Pensacola. Mr. Clark was a fighter pilot instructor for the Navy. He was active in the Navy Reserve until 1956. Upon returning to the Coffeyville community he was employed with Glenn Cliff Dairy later Page Milk Company, where he worked for 33 years. He also worked for Troy Borum at the Nuway Food Liner, Coffeyville, Kansas. He also delivered flowers for his daughter at Jan-Ls Floral Shop. On August 17, 1943 he married Evalin R. Gann in Stanford, Florida. She preceded him in death Feb. 16, 2002. Membeships include: First United Methodist Church, Past Lions Club President 1975-1976, Served on the Board of Missouri Pacific Credit Union 1973-1985; Served on the Board of Directors for the Coffeyville Chamber of Commerce, Coffeyville Red Raven Club, American Legion Post 20 all of Coffeyville. He was a member of the Fearsome Foursome Quartet for many years. Hobbies include: Walking, traveling and loved to fellowship with people. Survivors include: One son, Jim Clark Susan of Catoosa, Oklahoma; 3 grandsons; 5 great grandchildren; One brother, Ernest Clark, Colorado Springs, Colorado; several nieces amp; nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, Janet L. Van Horn, 2 sisters, Della Cable and Vera Shelton, 2 brothers, Dale and Raymond Clark. Funeral Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Coffeyville, Kansas on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 2:00 p.m.. Burial will follow in the Penwell-Gabel Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Coffeyville. Calling hoursVisitation: Will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2005 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville. Memorial contributions may be given to the Coffeyville Community College co Funeral Home. Military honor guard will be conducted by the Fort Riley Big Red One, Fort Riley, Kansas.
