LenaAlice White of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was 76. Alice was born February 5, 1934 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Christian and Minnie Clark Timmerman. She grew up in Coffeyville where she received her high school education. On June 4, 1952 she was united in marriage to FrancisFrank White. He preceded her in death April 14, 2010. Alice was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. After the kids got older she worked a short time for Ben Franklin which later became WalMart. She worked at WalMart as a cashier until Sam Walton visited every store to select the perfectDoor Greeter for his stores. After a day of observation Sam selected Alice as the original Coffeyville WalMart Greeter. She was a member of the local V.F.W. and American Legion Auxiliaries. Alice enjoyed feeding the wild birds and squirrels outside her door, taking trips to Las Vegas with a special group of friends, spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and loved her catBaby who will be laid to rest with her. Alice loved her family she cherished her time with them. She is survived by her daughter, Linda McFall and husband, Roger son, Ronnie White and wife, Crystal grandsons, Scott McFall and wife, Brandy, Shane McFall and wife, Ashley, Randall Harris and wife, Heidi five greatgrandchildren which were her pride and joy, Thane McFall, Khane McFall, Hurley McFall, Oliver Harris, Naomi Fishback. She was preceded in death by her parents loving husband, Frank brother, Lyle Timmerman and sister, Madge Ross. A memorial graveside service will be held Monday, October 25, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Chaplain Mike Graham will officiate. Friends may call on Friday, October 22, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel to sign the guest register. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Frank White Education Fund for the future education of their greatgrandchildren. Contributions can be left with PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns funeral home or Condon National Bank.
