Allene Montague 1914 - 2006 Allene Montague, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Windsor Place, Coffeyville, Kansas. Mrs. Montague was born on February 14, 1914 in Parker County, Texas to William Thomas and Sophia Elam Jordan. She attended school in Tulia, Texas. She later graduated from Coffeyville Business College, Coffeyville, Kansas. On November 20, 1932 she married Frank Ed Montague. He preceded her in death July 28, 1948. She was employed with Ivan Morrow Foundry 2 years. Later with Jensen Bros. Mfg. 7 years. She then moved to California and worked in the Space program with North American Aviation, Downey, California. She moved back to Coffeyville in 1986. Then moved to Austin, Texas 1990. before making her home back in Coffeyville 1995. Membeships includeHobbies: First Southern Baptist Church, Coffeyville; She was a pink lady volunteer at CRMC and also at Brown Mansion. She is survived by 3 children: 2 sons, James Robert Montauge, So. Coffeyville, Ok.; Thomas Ed Montague, Alvin, Tx.; 1 daughter, Susan M. Smith, Delaware, Ok.; 1 step-daughter, Helen Izard, Albuqurque, New Mexico. 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grand daughter. She is also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 3 sisters. Calling hoursVisitation: Mrs. Montague will lie in state on Friday, February 10, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Ks. 67337. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on friday evening. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas. Family and friends will gather at the graveside prior to services.
