Obituary Alvin Leon Atkins Coffeyville resident Alvin Leon Atkins died on December 4, 2006 in Coffeyville. He was 53. He was born December 23, 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Willard Lee and Melba Nelson Atkins. He graduated from high school in Bartlesville in 1971. In 1980 he married Kathryn Collins in Fredonia, Kansas. They later
orced. Alvin was a self-employed contractor and worked in the construction industry. He enjoyed such interests as hunting and model railroading. Alvin is survived by his son, Cameron Lee Atkins of Parsons, loving companion Kathryn Hurst and her daughter Sarah Hurst of Kingman, Kansas; his parents Willard and Melba Atkins of a brother, Timothy Atkins all of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and a sister Rebecca McClure of Copan, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 7, 2006 in the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor David Roth will officiate and burial will follow in the White Rose Cemetery at Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-9 pm. The family will be present from 7-9.
