Amy Jo Blagg, 44, Caney, Kansas, died Saturday night, May 9, 2009 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, Coffeyville, Kansas, as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Amy was born December 29, 1964 at Coffeyville to Milton G. Miner and Shirley J. Majors Miner. She grew up in Coffeyville and was a 1982 graduate of Coffeyvilles Field Kindley High School. Amy married Brent A. Blagg on August 5, 1989 at Coffeyville. She worked as secretary for the Caney First Baptist Church for the past seven years. Amy was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, Coffeyville since 1991. She and her husband were saved on November 11, 1991. Amy was supportive of and active in, anything her children did, including three trips a week to Bartlesville, Oklahoma for Taras dance lessons. She loved helping people as was demonstrated by the activities for which she volunteered. Amy helped with Angel Tree Ministries; Midwest Pregnancy Care Center; Prayer Ministry and Mission Committee member at First Southern Baptist Church. She made several mission trips over the years, including Beautiful Feet Homeless Mission, Fort Worth, Texas. Amy was a Sunday School Teacher and she loved fishing, camping and boating. She is survived by her husband, Brent, of the home; three sons, Erik Blagg and his girlfriend, Christa Schiler of Caney, Andy Blagg and his fiance, Blair Durham of Greenville, South Carolina and Brandon Blagg of the home; a daughter, Tara of the home; her parents, Milton and Shirley Miner of Coffeyville; one sister, Denise Krumwiede and her husband, Cliff of Claremore, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Kaden amp; Eli Blagg and Bryson Schiler; her mother-in-law, Beverly Blagg of Hutchinson, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews. Amy is preceded by her father-in-law, Buddy Blagg. Her son, Kyler Blagg passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009. Funeral services for Amy and Kyler Blagg will be held 10 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2009 at Coffeyvilles First Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Rich Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Visitation for Amy and Kyler will be from 10 a.m. 9 p.m. at First Southern Baptist Church, 2701 W. 8th in Coffeyville. Family will receive friends at the church from 6 9 p.m. Donations can be made in memory of Amy and Kyler to the First Southern Baptist Church of Coffeyville or the Caney First Baptist Church.
