Andrew Drysdale

It is with great sadness that the family of Andrew George Drysdale announces his passing at the age of 40 after an auto accident on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Manhattan, KS.

Andrew will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his daughters of the home Maggie and Adeen Drysdale, Murran and Ainsley McKellips, his parents George and Margaret Drysdale, his sister and brother-in-law Amanda and Craig Kinnon, nephew and niece Ross and Lucy Kinnon, all of Linlithgow, Scotland, U.K.

His maternal auntie Geraldine Innes and cousins Frazier Innes of Surrey, England; and Simon Innes of Goya, India; cousins Bobby, David and Elaine Drysdale all of Linlithgow. His father and mother-in-law Dick and Belinda Robison, sister-in-law Melanie Savage of Coffeyville, his brother-in-law Doug Robison of Belton, MO, his other Missouri relatives and many, many friends in America and the UK.

Andrew was born in Falkirk Infirmary on the 23rd of May 1978. He grew up in Linlithgow, Scotland, and attended Linlithgow Primary School from the age of 5 until he was 12. From age 12 to age 16 he attended Linlithgow Academy. He joined Linlithgow Rugby Club when he was 7 and a half and played in center attack and had great success. He joined the sea scouts when he was 9 years old and loved all of the activities. In sea scouts he also got the opportunity to meet the Queen and had a short conversation with her. He joined the RAF Air Cadets when he was 13 years old where he developed his keen interest in marksmanship. In the cadets he achieved the rank of sergeant and also represented Scotland and Northern Ireland in Rugby.
Andrew was in the choir where it became notable that he was a very good singer.
He enjoyed singing at family occasions and at charity events. It was thrilling to hear his big booming voice sing A cappella or singing while he did yard work. His voice could be heard over the noises of the mower.

He worked and traveled extensively. He enjoyed fishing, darts, target practice, and playing his weekly poker game with his mates.

In 2006 he met Rebecca, the love of his life. On September 1, 2007, in Eureka Springs, AR, Andrew married Rebecca with whom they had two girls Maggie and Adeen to join their sisters Murran and Ainsley.

Andrew graduated from Coffeyville Community College Welding Institute and joined the Steamfitters Local 441.
He was preceded in death on November 4, 2014, by his wife Rebecca.
