Andrew Eli

Andrew James Eli, 23, of Kansas City, MO was taken from us as a victim of homicide early afternoon on Saturday, April 18, 2009. Andrew was born in Chanute, KS on October 31, 1985 and later attended school in Coffeyville, KS, Mill Valley High School in Shawnee, KS and Johnson County Community College in Overland Park. He took pride in his position as a manager of the Overland Park IHOP restaurant after 8 years of dedicated service. Andrew enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was an avid concert goer with a deep passion for music and the outdoors. His ever-present smile and easy going manner will forever be remembered. He is survived by his parents, Diane Caldwell, John Eli and stepfather Bob Caldwell. Sister Abbigail Eli, brother Alex Eli, stepsister Krystan Koehn, stepbrother Max Caldwell, maternal grandfather Dick Powell, paternal grandparents Stan and Carol Eli, paternal great grandmother Cretta Barber and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Proceeded in death was his maternal grandmother Norma Jean Powell. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday at The Lake Forrest Club House in Edwardsville, KS and Friday a service will be held in Coffeyville, KS.
