AndrewAndy Edward Medford, 52, of Houston, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in Pryor, Oklahoma at his sisters home while staying with her. Andy was born on March 24, 1959 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Andrew G. and Shirley J. Newman Medford. He grew up in Coffeyville where he received his high school education from Field Kindley High School and also complete some college credits at Coffeyville Community College. He worked for NuWay Bakery, Baileys Home and Farm Store then worked ten years for Western Publishing until he moved to Houston, Texas. While in Houston he worked for Hobby Lobby in the custom frame shop then worked for Langston T.B. House as a security guard until his time of death. Andy was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene, he enjoyed community theatre, singing, playing the piano and organ, cake decorating and enjoyed singing with the men and womens city wide choir in Houston. He also sang for weddings and funerals. He is survived by his mother, Shirley J. Medford of Coffeyville, Kansas sisters, Sharon Neeley and husband, James Earl of Coffeyville, Kansas, Cathy Medford of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Linda Wilson of Pryor, Oklahoma three nephews, Michael, Bradley, and Bryan Wilson two greatnieces and one greatnephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew G. Medford. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Randy DePriest will officiate. A private family inurnment will have already taken place. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to Integris Hospice of Mayes County. These maybe left with the funeral home.
