Anna Gillman of Dearing, KS passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at her home. She was 98. Anna was born February 24, 1911 in Peru, Illinois to Rev. Thomas and Agnes Raczykowski. She moved to Dearing, KS when she was 3 years old. She attended Dearing Schools. She lived in Dearing and surrounding areas all her life. On December 30, 1929 she was united in marriage to William Gillman. She worked as the Head Cook for many years at Dearing School and was also Head Cook for Coffeyville Quarter Back Club for many years. Anna was a member of the Dearing Christian Church. She was the oldest living resident in Dearing. Anna loved music and singing for everyone. She also loved to cook and canning. Surviving to honor her memory are her children; Billy Gillman and wife Jacqueline of Coffeyville, Rosalea Heale of Dearing; sisters, Mary Franklin of Washington, Mabel Wiley of Dearing, Martha Patchett of Idaho; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and Jewel Fahler who is a dear person and family in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband William and a brother Paul Raczyowski. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Pastor Jamie Regis will officiate. Burial will follow at Robbins Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to sign the guest register at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to Dearing Christian Church these may be left with the funeral home.
