Anna Marie Hildreth, 87, longtime resident of Coffeyville, Kansas, passed away peacefully in Coffeyville Regional Medical Center on October 23, 2012.
Anna Marie Hildreth was born on February 25, 1925 to Max and Bertha Dilly McKellips, in Nowata County, Oklahoma.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00 am at FordWulfBruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Avenue, Coffeyville, Kansas, with burial at Fairview Cemetery. Online condolences can be left at www.fordwulfbrunsfuneralhome.com.
Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2012 with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the FordWulfBruns Chapel.
Mrs. Hildreth was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Coffeyville for more than 70 years, including serving as a church Deacon and Vice Moderator. After managing and operating bakeries for NuWay supermarket, the Peter Pan store in Coffeyville and having her own cake decorating business, Mrs. Hildreth retired in 1985 as Food Service and Student Union Director at Coffeyville Community Junior College where she was employed for 16 years.
Mrs. Hildreth was active in civic and church organizations throughout her life, including serving as president of the local PTA, charter member of Searchlight Club of Coffeyville, membership in Business and Professional Women BPW, membership in the Coffeyville Chamber of Commerce, board member of Cedar Bluff Camp in Coffeyville, and board member of Central Regional Conference of American Baptist Convention.
Marriages were to Clyde P. Cross who passed away in 1986, and then to Morris D. Hildreth until his death in 1998. Survivors include her loving family, son Michael Cross of Mesquite, Texas daughters, Mickey Cross of Bixby, Oklahoma, Meta Mc Guire of Franklin, Tennessee Marta Cross of Tulsa, Oklahoma, granddaughters Kelsey Cross of Tulsa, Haley McGuireMorgan and her husband Will Morgan of Chattanooga, Tennessee many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hildreth was preceded in death by her sister, Beulah McKellips brothers, Sonny McKellips and Clyde Boone.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials to be made in Mrs. Hildreths memory to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Foundation or the First Baptist Church of Coffeyville, Kansas.
