Barbara Ann Amann passed away Monday evening at her home in Coffeyville. She was 69. Barbara was born on February 13, 1942 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Cecil and Irene Derringer Cain. She grew up in Coffeyville and attended Field Kindley High School. She married Louis Amann June 17, 1959 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. They made their home in Wichita, eventually coming back to the Coffeyville area. Barbara worked at both at Halliburtons and Spears Manufacturing retiring in 2004. She was a member of the Crystal Brook church in Independence. She enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Louis of the home, sons Ron Amann and wife Lynette, of Dearing and Roger Amann and his wife, Donna of rural Coffeyville daughter Debra Castorena and her husband, David of Edna, Kansas and brother, Buddy Cain and his wife, Brenda of Independence, Kansas, and nine grandchildren and sixteen greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and sister twins. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 17, 2011 at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the funeral home.
