Barbara A. Witwer, age 83 passed away in her home on January 31, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Barbara was born on March 5, 1938, to Lorin Alfred Davis and Jettie Jewel Cunningham Davis in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Merle Witwer, father Lorin Alfred Davis, mother Jettie Jewel Cunningham Davis, two sisters, Christine who died at the age of three, and Aileen who died at the age of 23. She had three stepdaughters, Mary Ann Greenfield, (Rick), Regina Collins, (Pat), Debra Cramer, (Jerry), seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren.
Barbara graduated from Shamrock High School in 1956. She worked at Sears in Tulsa, Oklahoma from June 1956 to November 1991, also at Dollar Rent a Car from November 1991 to November 2000.
Barbara met our dad, Merle R. Witwer (the love of her life) she says on June 14, 1973. They married March 2, 1991, in Mound Valley, Kansas. She says “God has truly blessed us; it has been a wonderful adventure.
Barbara was a member of the Church of the First Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
One of her favorite passages in the Bible was Psalm 91, two of her favorite songs were Look for Me and Just a Rose Will Do.
Barbara was a wonderful wife to our dad and was holding his hand to his last breath. She was a wonderful mom to me and a great grandma to her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Graveside Funeral Services for Barbara Witwer will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022; processional to the Robbins Cemetery will leave from Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave. at 1:45 pm for 2:00 pm service. To share a memory or an online condolence visit www.fordwulfburnschapel.com
