Beatrice Rasmussen

Beatrice Evelyn Rasmussen Age 74, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Friday evening, February 4, 2005 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Rasmussen was born February 8, 1930 in Nowata County, Oklahoma to Ralph Lloyd and Ella Robinson Smith. Following graduation, she earned her vocational nursing degree. She worked as a licensed vocational nurse most of her life in California from 1969 to 1989. On August 3, 1948 she married Robert Lawrence Rasmussen in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Coffeyville until moving to California in 1960. Upon retirement, the couple returned to Coffeyville in 1989. Mr. Rasmussen preceded her in death October 28, 2000. She is survived by: two sons, Richard Rasmussen, of San Leandro, CA David Rasmussen, Sr., of Independence, KS one daughter, Cynthia Nash, of Ripon, KS four brothers, Edgar Smith, of Coffeyville, KS Chester Smith, of Ohio Buddy Smith, of Coffeyville, KS Melva Smith, of MO four sisters, Mildred Zimmer, of Coffeyville, KS Audrey Connor, of Tulsa, OK Delores Wilson, of TX Sandra Davidson, of TX 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by one great-grandson, Donovahn Rodriguez; three brothers, Kenneth E. Smith, Willard Smith and Lawrence Smith; one sister, Norma Wright. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, February 10 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel with burial in Robbins Cemetery, west of Coffeyville. Pastor Chad Mustain will officiate.
