Crenshaw and Rose Scott in Perkins, Oklahoma. Bessie lived in Perkins until the age of 15 attending country school as a young lady. On February 23, 1927 she married John E. Vogt in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They made their home in the Stillwater area. John and Bessie moved to Coffeyville area 1950. John preceded her in death May 21, 1970. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Vogt was a member of the First Church of God, Coffeyville, Kansas. Survivors include: 3 sons, Marvin Vogt, Atlanta, Tx.; Dale Vogt, Coffeyville, Ks.; Ray Vogt, Altamont, Ks.; 1 daughter, Velma LaVerne Vogt, Coffeyville, Ks. 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. 2 sisters, Merleen Beswell, Agra, Ok.; Wanda Johnson, Enid, Ok. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter, Colleen Raper, 1 granddaughter, Marvina Vogt, 5 brothers and 6 sisters. VisitationCalling hours: Mrs. Vogt will lie in state on Thursday, June 22, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.. Family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, KS. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2006 at the First Church of God, 5th and Cline, Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Mark Wilson will be presiding. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Coffeyville, KS. Memorial contributions may be given to the First Church of God, 5th And Cline, Coffeyville, KS. 67337.
