Betty Adams

Betty LaRue Adams of Coffeyville passed away on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She was 78. Betty was born on November 22, 1931 in Cedar Vale, Kansas to Robert and Leola Johnson. She attended school in Cedar Vale and Sedan. On November 22, 1949 she was united in marriage to PerryGene Adams he preceded her in death on July 12, 1985. The couple made their home in Coffeyville where Betty worked as a nurse aid for CRMC until her retirement in December of 1990. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She loved to read and crochet. She was very fond of her cats. She enjoyed trips out of town with her girlfriends and most of all spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her sons, Randy Adams and wife Debbie of Coffeyville, Mike Adams and wife Connie of Tulsa, OK five grandchildren and thirteen greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Leola loving husband, Gene and brother, Jimmy D. Johnson. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 24, 2010 at 10:00 at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Reverend Ford Hall will officiate. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, August 23, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the chapel to sign the guest register. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contribution be made to Friends of Animals these may be left with the funeral home.
