Betty Battaglear

Betty G Battaglear age 90 of Coffeyville passed away on August 2, 2017 at her home.

Betty was born in Coffeyville on December 23, 1926 to Freeman and Anna (Gortson) Lair. She attended Coffeyville schools and graduated from Field Kindley High School. After high school Betty found employment as a waitress for the Dale Hotel and later on she worked for the railroad. She met Frank Battagler while at a dance and the couple started dating. They were united in marriage on September 13, 1947, to this union the couple was blessed with two daughters, Connie and Donna. Betty loved being a mother and made it her life; she was the true definition of a matriarch. She was a proud member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and often enjoyed being involved in the numerous activities; she also enjoyed working in her yard and flower garden. Above all, her family was her pride and joy. She loved spending time with her husband, daughters, and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her daughter Donna Carmen, her brother Buster Lair, grandchildren, Megan Goodwin, Crystal White, Patrick Robinson, Chad Carmen, and Jason Carmen, great-grandchildren, Briar, Abram, Wren, Cooper, Boone, Jack, Spencer, and Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, daughter Connie Robinson, brother, Charlie Lair, and her sister Maxine Franks

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 10:00am at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Chapel.
