Betty Lorene Freeman 1925 2006 Betty Lorene Freeman, age 81, entered into rest on Thursday, August 31, 2006 in El Dorado, Kansas at the Lake Point Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born February 8, 1925 to Carl S. Mays and Sussie C. Walker Mays in Coffeyville, Kansas. Betty was a 1942 graduate of Field Kindley Memorial High School, Coffeyville, KS. She attended Coffeyville Business College for 1 year. On May 23, 1942 she married Perry Edgar Freeman in Coffeyville, Kansas. They made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas for 71 years. Mr. and Mrs. Freeman celebrated 64 years of marriage recently. They also lived in Haysville, Kansas for 5 years and most recently El Dorado, Kansas for the past 9 years. Mr. and Mrs. Freeman owned and operated Eddies One Stop at 620 E. 8th, Coffeyville, Kansas for 25 plus years. Memberships include: First United Pentecostal Church, Coffeyville, Kansas; Shiloah Pentecostal Church, Haysville, Kansas; Calvary Tabernacle Church, El Dorado, Kansas; VFW Womens Aux. Post 1022 and American Legion Post 20. Her hobbies were painting, fishing, boating, bowling and rummage sales. Survivors include her husband, PerryEddie Freeman of El Dorado, Kansas; 3 children, daughter, Diana Kay Freeman, Coffeyville, Kansas; Jerry D. Freeman, Coffeyville, Kansas; Ricky G. Freeman, El Dorado, Kansas. Special friends, Robert Nelson, Christina Nelson, Rebecca Nelson, Peter Nelson, Angela Morris. Six Grandchildren, Lisa Scott, Jon Murray, Steve Freeman, Melissa Freeman, Joshua Freeman, Debra Freeman. Seven Great Grandchildren, Ariel Scott, Zachary Scott, Aric Scott, Lynsea Freeman, Kane Murray, Noah Murray, Alec Freeman. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Perry E. Freeman, Jr. and one grandson, David Freeman. Her body will lie in state on Monday, September 4, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. Rev. C.D. Scott and Rev. R.G.
