Betty Jean Atkins White 1937 - 2006 Betty Jean Atkins White, age 68, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at her residence in Dearing, Kansas. She was born September 5, 1937 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Charles S. Atkins and Iva L. McVey Atkins. She was a homemaker. She was also a Registered Dietician working in nursing homes in various communities. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church, Coffeyville. Also the Ladies League of the Salvation Army. Survivors include: 6 children, daughter, Sally Hudspeth, Sand Springs, Ok.; son, Jimmy Dwayne Ashlock, Skiatook, Ok.; son, James Ashlock, Missouri; daughter, Brenda Campbell, Ponca City, Ok.; daughter, Deborah Shook, Newkirk, Ok.; son, Jimmy Joe Lee, Dearing, Ks. 4 sisters, Gladys Reed, Chelsea, Ok.; Pat Warnock, Pam Harless and Norene Brown all of Ponca City, Ok. 26 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Terry Ashlock and Billy Joe Lee; 3 brothers, Charles and Roy Atkins, Bert Whitner, 1 sister, Abigail Lee Rupert. Calling HoursVisitation: The body will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 17, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Jamie Regis of the Dearing Christian Church will be presiding. Memorial contributions may be left at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Donors Choice.
