Bevis Nunnally 1909 - 2006 Bevis Nunnally passed away on January 13, 2006, at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. She was born May 4, 1909, on a farm near Piedmont, Alabama, to Daniel Russell and Martha Grogan Lockridge. She lived in Alabama and went through grade school there. In November of 1925, she came with her parents, settling near Wann, Oklahoma where she finished high school. At the time of her death, she was a lovingly cared for resident of Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas. On April 13, 1940, she married Donald Nunnally in Dewey, Oklahoma. In 1941, they moved to Calumet City, Illinois. Their daughter was born in Hammond, Indiana on December 28, 1942. In 1943, Mrs. Nunnally and her daughter moved to South Coffeyville, Oklahoma when Mr. Nunnally went into the Army Air Force. In 1946, after the war, Mr. and Mrs. Nunnally and their daughter moved to Coffeyville. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 2, 1989. Mrs. Nunnally was a member of First Baptist Church in Coffeyville for 52 years. On April 11, 1999, she became a charter member of Grace Fellowship Church in Coffeyville. She worked for J.C. Penney; Continental Can and a blueprint file clerk and had worked as a baby-sitter since 1940. She is survived by her daughter Joyce Seger of Coffeyville, three grandchildren and four great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a still-born son, 4 sisters and one brother. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2006, at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home with the Reverend Gerald Morris officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Penwell-Gabel Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Nunnally will lie in state from 1-9:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
