Blenda Huggard

Blenda Kay Trask Huggard formerly of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away October 28, 2010 in St. Petersburg, Florida at the St. Petersburg General Hospital. She was 56. Blenda was born July 16, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas to Leroy and Mary Ann Howard Trask. She attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School and Coffeyville Community College. She attended Pittsburg State University and later graduated from Fayetteville State University in North Caroline receiving her B.A. in Elementary Education. In 1975 she was united in marriage to Dana Henry. The couple made their home in Coffeyville, KS of that union one child was born. The couple later divorced. Blenda was later married to Raymond Huggard. They made their home in St. Petersburg, Florida. She battled and survived pancreatic cancer for five years. She worked at her fathers State Farm Insurance office for many years. She also worked at CCC in the Library and Student Services. While in St. Petersburg, FL she and Raymond worked for WalMart. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond of the home daughter, Kay Henry mother, Mary Ann Trask both of Coffeyville, KS motherinlaw, Evelyn Risdon of Ohio and her beloved aunt, Kay Kountze. She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Trask. Cremation has taken place in St. Petersburg, FL. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Reverend Jane BrigdenGraham will officiate. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to The First Presbyterian Church in Coffeyville, KS.
