Brent Olson

Brent D. Olson formerly of Coffeyville passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Southcrest Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was 55. Brent was born July 17, 1955 in Coffeyville to Philip and Lola George Olson. He grew up and attended school in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma where he received his High School education. He attended Oklahoma University where he received some college credit. In 1979 he was united in marriage to Betty Vielhauer and from that union a daughter was born. The couple later divorced after 22 years. He later married Melanie Trotter and the couple recently separated. Brent worked as an electrical engineer for many architectural firms in Tulsa, OK. He loved dogs and enjoyed playing golf and was an avid OU Sooners and Rush Limbaugh fan. He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Olson of Broken Arrow, OK stepbrothers, Richard Rogers of Tulsa, OK and Bob Rogers of Sapulpa, OK. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 31st, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville. Pastor Jonathan Filson will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to the SPCA, these may be left with the funeral home.
