Caitlynn was born on February 5, 2005 in Coffeyville, Kansas and became the daughter of Calen and Crystal Gibbs and the little sister of Christopher on February 15, 2005 making their family complete. Caitlynn was diagnosed with Niemann-pick Disease Type A at ten months old, she received a bone marrow transplant at the University of Minnesota Children's Hospital spending 117 day in the hospital. Doctors believed that Caitlynn wouldn't live past the age of four; Caitlynn did more than live past the age of four she enjoyed life to the fullest with the love and care of her parents and caregivers. She traveled along to every sporting event that her "Bestest Brother Ever" played in. She was always up to watching a good football, or baseball game, she also really enjoyed watching Nascar; she loved anything with speed, sounds and action. She loved listening to music, dancing and watching movies; her favorite was "Hairspray", her least favorite were animated movies. However, Caitlynn did make an exception in watching "Frozen" and "Rio".
Caitlynn's smile would light your heart. Her daddy, Calen and big brother, Christopher could always make her laugh. Dad would imitate a train whistle and Caitlynn would laugh and laugh. Every night at bedtime she would watch the projected image of the moon and stars, holding her teddy bear that recited: Now I lay me down to sleep I pray the Lord my soul to keep may Love be with me through the night and wake me with the morning light. Amen. Caitlynn is now waking in the morning light in Heaven, dancing and singing, with a prefect view of the moon and stars.
