Candy Ann Ruark of Coffeyville, KS passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 at CRMC in Coffeyville. She was 35. Mrs. Ruark was born May 18, 1974 to Joseph and Ann Collins in Coffeyville, Kansas. She grew up and attended schools in Labette County graduating from High School in 1994. After high school she worked as a housekeeper for the Townsman Inn Hotel in Coffeyville. She went on to marry Dean Ruark on February 14, 2003. The couple made their home in Coffeyville. Dean and daughter Grace survive of the home. Candy enjoyed raising her daughter Grace and helping raise her niece Kelsey. She loved to sew, go to the races to watch her dad and brother-in-law race and family BBQs. Most of all she loved caring for Dean and spending time with her family and friends. She had a big love for the family pets, Molly, Buttercup and Ewok. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to all who knew her. She is remembered for her willingness to help anyone at anytime without any question or complaint. She was a good hearted person no matter what. Surviving to honor her memory are her parents Joseph and Ann Collins of Coffeyville, KS; husband, Dean and daughter Grace of the home; sister, Penny and husband Tommy Pinckney of Coffeyville, KS; James and Amanda Collins of Cherryvale, KS; nieces, Kelsey Pinckney of Coffeyville, Taylor and Britni Collins of Cherryvale, KS; nephew, James Collins Jr of Cherryvale; numerous aunts and uncles; special friends, Marsha Cantrell and Sandy Henry; numerous other family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to be made to the funeral home to offset the cost of arrangements.
