CARL EUGENE BUSH 1930-2005 Carl Eugene Bush, age 74, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the St. John Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born October 23, 1930 to George and Elsie Cox Bush in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He graduated from College High in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1948. In 1960, he graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and was an Alumni Member. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War until he was honorably discharged. He was also a Veteran of Foreign Wars. He married Patsy Arlene Hodges on September 20, 1952 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was employed for thirty years with Farmland Industries as a Chemical Engineer in Phillipsburg, Kansas, Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Kansas City, Missouri and in Coffeyville, Kansas. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a life-long member of the Masonic Order 32nd Degree Mason and a volunteer blood donor for the American Red Cross. His favorite hobby was golf. He also enjoyed swimming, fishing, gardening, OSU and Red Raven sports. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patsy, of the home in Coffeyville, Kansas; two daughters, Carla Tuttle and husband Willie of Winfield, Kansas and Clara White and her husband Doug of El Dorado, Kansas; one son, Rick Bush and his wife Debbie of Derby, Kansas; one sister, Mary Cunningham of Dewey, Oklahoma and two brothers, Bob Bush and his wife Teresa of Caney, Kansas and Jack Bush and his wife Shirley of Diana, Texas; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Georgia Briggs. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church in Coffeyville. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Shriners Children Transportation Fund in Coffeyville, Kansas.
