Carolyn Coffey

Carolyn Ann Coffey, 68, of Coffeyville, Kansas went home on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Osage Nursing Home in Nowata, Oklahoma. She was born August 29, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa to R.W. Bunton and Margaret Renfro Bunton. Carolyn married Gary Coffey in June 1965. They were later divorced. She worked for the school system driving buses and then for Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for thirtyfive years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents and greatgrand daughter Serenity Castorena. Survivors include brothers: George Bunton and wife Carolyn Sue of Centralia, Missouri, Jim Bunton and wife Barbara of Harrisonville, Missouri, sons Tim Bunton and wife Peggy of Columbia, Missouri, Raymond Coffey and wife Kendra of Independence, Kansas. Daughters, Crystal Myers and husband Jason of Edna, Kansas, Tracie Lowe and husband Charles of Nowata, Oklahoma, 11 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services for Carolyn Anne Coffey will be held at PenwellGabel Funeral Home in Coffeyville, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2009. Cremation will be followed by inurnment in Restlawn Cemetery in Coffeyville. Carolyn will lie in state at the funeral home from noon until 8:00pm on Monday with the family receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm.
