Carrie Osborn

Dateline: Coffeyville Carrie Elizabeth Osborn, age 105, entered into rest on, Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at the Regal Estates, Independence, Kansas. She was born June 21, 1901 in Liberty, Kansas to Enoch M. Osbornecorrect and Mary Hannah Smith Osborne. Mrs. Osborn was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Coffeyville, KS and Altar Society. She was homemaker. Mrs. Osborn lived in her own home until the age of 102, when she moved to Independence, Ks. and resided at Regal Estates until her death. On November 18, 1924 she married David W. Osborn at the Holy Name Catholic Church. They made their home where they farmed until 1982 an then moved to Coffeyville. He preceded her in death November 3, 1982. Survivors include: five children, 3 daughters, Gracie Duncan, and husband Lloyd of Wichita, Ks.; Helen L. Osborn of Coffeyville, Ks.; Dorothy M. Lambert and husband Bill of Beaumont, Texas; 2 sons, Kenneth M. Osborn and wife Sharon of Anderson, California; Gary D. Osborn and wife Linda of Fort Scott, Ks. 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters. Mrs. Osborn was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will surely be missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Osborn will lie in state from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2006 and 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2006 and from 1:00 p.m. until 5 p.m., Sunday, June 25, 2006. Mrs. Osborn will then be moved to the Holy Name Catholic Church for a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m.. Fr. Jerome Spexarth will pray the Rosary. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 26, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Name Catholic Church, Coffeyville. Fr. Jerome Spexarth will be presidng. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Coffeyville, KS.
