Charles Bauer

Charles "Chuck" D. Bauer, age 70, was welcomed to his eternal home on Saturday, May 26th at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, OK, surrounded by his family.

Chuck was born on October 18, 1947 to Irma (Skeen) Bowshier and Kenneth Bauer. He entered into the U.S. Army in 1967 where he served until 1969 with a rank as Sergeant. He married Peggy A. Bauer on April 12, 1974 in Coffeyville, Kansas where the couple made their home until 1992 when they moved to South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Chuck was employed by John Deere Coffeyville Works for 36 years and retired as a Supervisor in 2002. Through the years, Chuck enjoyed camping at Elk City where he made lifelong friends. He loved spending time with family and his grandkids were his pride and joy. Chuck spent a lot of time at Grand Lake with friends made there. Chuck was an avid KC Chiefs fan and loved getting together with friends and family to watch the games. He also enjoyed traveling with friends and family.

Chuck is survived by his daughter Barbie Sinclair and husband JT of Independence, KS; son Richard Tolbert and wife Sonia of Topeka, KS; son Paul Bauer and wife Karla of Coffeyville, KS; sister Vickie Hawkins of Coffeyville, KS; brother David Olson and wife Linda of Colorado; brother Robert Fisk and wife Pamela of Oklahoma; step-mom Lois Bauer of Coffeyville, KS as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He now rests with his wife Peggy Bauer, his father Kenneth Bauer, his mother Irma Bowshier, his step-brother Randy Creason, and step-brother Russel Creason.

Funeral services for Chuck will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas followed by inurnment at Robbins Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made payable to Coffeyville Friends of Animals and they be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
