Dateline: Coffeyville Charline M. Wilmoth, age 76, Windsor Place resident passed away on Monday, June 19, 2006, Coffeyville, Ks. She was born January 6, 1930 in Welch, Oklahoma to Charlie and Maude McPherson Gross. Charline attended Rogers country grade school as a child. She was a 1948 graduate of Welch High School, Welch, Ok. On March 25, 1950 she married James D. Wilmoth in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They lived most of her life in Rural Tyro, Kansas where they were farmers and Charline taught at local schools. Mr. Wilmoth preceded his wife in death April 5, 1990. Mrs. Wilmoth graduated from NEO receiving a Associate degree. She then graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Ok. where she received her Bachelors Degree. She received her Masters and Doctorate degree from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas. Mrs. Wilmoth was a school teacher for over 40 years. Mrs. Wilmoth retired from USD 436, Caney, Kansas where she taught school at Lincoln Elementary for 29 years. She was a member of the Tyro Christian Church, Tyro, Kansas. Survivors include her son, Jim Wilmoth Rose of Rural Tyro, Ks; 1 daughter, Judy Wilmoth, Rural Tyro, Ks. 3 sisters, Lula Jean Cooper Eugene, Tulsa, Ok.; Johnie Pearl Karnes, Tulsa, Ok.; Janie V. Riley, Wesley Cordell, Ok.; 2 brothers, Charlie D. Gross, Annette Coos Bay, Or.; Larry Gross, Jean Ann Rural Edna, Ks. 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Charles Wilmoth, 1 brother, Welborn Cotton Thompson. VisitationCalling Hours: Mrs. Wilmoth will lie in state on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas 67337. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 22, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas 67337. Pastor David Bycroft of the Tyro Christian Church will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Fawn Creek Cemetery N.E. of Tyro, Kansas.
