Neodesha resident Charlotte I. McNutt died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 in Wichita, Kansas. She was 63. Charlotte was born January 19, 1944 to Fred and Eva Leyda Friend in Independence, Kansas. She grew up and graduated high school in Independence. In 1963 she married George R. Smith, they later
orced. She worked many years as a cosmotologist in the Independence, Liberty area. She also operated a restaurant in Independence, and worked at ACC amp; Fiberglass. She enjoyed being with family and loved her toy poodle Sinbad. On December 23, 1985 she was united in marriage to Evant Cowboy McNutt. She is survived by her loving husband of the home, three daughters Suzanne McDonald and husband, Robert of Neodesha, Kansas, Sandra Hines of Chanute, Kansas, Shelli Lochner and husband, David of Dearing, Kansas; one son, Steve Smith and wife, Mirna of Coffeyville, Kansas; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carolyn Hoover; brother, Bobby Friend; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild, Alexandria Oliver. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home of Coffeyville, Kansas. Burial will follow at Penwell- Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Evangalist David Bycroft will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Ford- Wulf- Bruns Funeral Home to sign the guest register. Memorial contributions may be made to Harry Hynes Hospice these may be left with the funeral home.
