Cherokee Dawn Allen was born on July 13, 1994 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Terri Jean Allen. Terri called her "Monkey" and her Uncle Willie called her "Hookey".
She passed away on July 17, 2018 in her family home.
Cherokee lived in Edna, KS with her Great Aunt and Uncle, Leonard and Candy Hill. She graduated from Labette County High School in 2012 and went on to Coffeyville Community College where she received an Associate's Degree in 2014. Cherokee was active in both high school and college band. She was chosen to participate in the Shrine Bowl Band in 2011. Cherokee loved to make crafts with duct tape, and was a "Selfie Queen".
Cherokee is survived by her children, Rachael Jeaniece and William Donald of the home. As well as her Grandparents Ron and Shelia Knoll of Chanute, Uncle Willie Allen of the Kansas City Area , Uncle Marvin Knoll of Chanute, many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving mother Terri Jean Allen and her Great Grandmother "Granny" Vest who she had a very special relationship with.
Family will receive visitors at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Elm Christian Church, Edna, KS on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 2:00pm with interment immediately following at Elm Grove Cemetery in Edna, KS.
