Clark L. Pool II age 72 of Coffeyville retired his rope for the final time on February 13, 2020 surrounded by the ones he loved most at Jane Phillips Medical Center.
Clark was born on May 6, 1947 in Coffeyville, to Max and Clara (Vaughn) Pool. He was raised in Coffeyville with his two sisters. He attended local grammar schools and high school at Field Kindley. He was a very active member of the FFA and the Montgomery County 4-H. After graduation he continued his education at K-State and earned his associate's degree from Coffeyville Community College. Clark joined the workforce where he dedicated many years at Dollar Tire, he then owned and operated Plattner Welding Supply, and then went to work for Thompson Brothers Welding and Industrial Supply, and later retiring from Darwin Industries. Clark was united in marriage to Judith Lewis and the couple was blessed with two children and they later divorced. Clark was always busy with some activity whether it be; softball, golf, team roping, ranching where he raised Herford cattle and his many horses, he was a member of the Masons where he earned his 32nd degree, and mostly he enjoyed his family his children, grandchildren, and dog Dixie were his pride in life. Clark went to all his grandchildren’s activities that he possibly could and he cherished every moment of it. He was a man that could build or fix anything which always came in handy working livestock. Clark might have been known to be ornery from time to time or maybe even all of the time. He was a man of his word, believed in hard work, and was always devoted to spending what time he could with his family.
Clark’s memories will live on with his children, Kevin Pool his wife Jamie, Kimberly Kimrey her husband Todd and Step-daughter Kelsi Strickland her husband Tyler, sisters, Marilyn Todd her husband Ed and Saundra and Don Lind, grandchildren; Anna and Emma Pool, Jack Johnston and Baby Ryker, and a great-granddaughter Hadley scheduled to make her appearance in March.
He now rests with his parents.
