Connie L. Davis, 69, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away November 2, 2011 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Connie was born on November 5, 1941 in Los Angeles, California to Ross and Esther Mae Southerland Berry. The family made their home in Coffeyville where she attended local schools. Connie received her G. E. D. and CNA Certification. She worked as a cook, home health nurse and CNA for Windsor Place for many years. Connie was married to Edward E. Gregory in 1959 and of that union two children were born. The couple later divorced. On January 16, 1999 she was united in marriage to Donald Davis in Coffeyville, Kansas where they made their home. Donald preceded her in death on August 8, 2010. Connie like to quilt, read, cook, travel, visit casinos, fish, sing, crochet and needlework. Every Thursday she would visit the local thrift shops to acquire treasures. Most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren and time with her family and friends. Surviving to honor her memory are her daughters, Brenda K. Rogers and Gina L. Hollamen both of Coffeyville, Kansas step daughter, Tina M. Hansen and husband Clint of Coffeyville, Kansas sister, Sydney Rose of Carson, Iowa brother, Mike Berry of Liberty, Kansas seven grandchildren and thirteen greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Esther Berry loving husband, Don sister, Dorothy Karis and a brother, Melvin Bowie. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Sunday, November 6, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. to sign the guest register. The family will greet friends Sunday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Holly House or Windsor Place Nursing Home.
