Cora Hyten

Cora Virginia Hyten, age 83, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Continuous Care Unit at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Cora was born September 15, 1929 in Topeka, Kansas to Harry and Martha Burbank McCrea. She grew up in Topeka, Kansas and graduated from the Topeka High School. Cora also attended Kansas University.

On September 7, 1950 Cora married Donald R. Hyten in Lawrence, Kansas where they made their home before moving to Wellington, Kansas. The couple later divorced. In 1986 Cora moved back to Lawrence, Kansas before moving to Coffeyville in 2009. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Wellington, Kansas and was a certified Reflexologist.

Survivors include three daughters Marty and husband Ken Recchia of Carrollton, Texas, Becky and husband Bill Reeves of Coffeyville, Kansas and Sarah Hyten of Irving, Texas one son Howard Hyten of Austin, Texas four grandchildren Scott and wife Kira Reeves, Paul and wife Ashley Reeves, Laura and husband Paul Restivo and Grant Sullivan two great grandchildren Conner and Caitlyn Reeves.
