Crystal Proman

Crystal Joy (Heady) Proman age 69 of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away unexpectantly on January 16, 2021 in her home.

Crystal was born on July 25, 1951 to Bill Rogers and Lucille Louise (Kindrick) Heady in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Crystal grew up attending Coffeyville schools graduating from Field Kindley Memorial High School.  She completed her education with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Businnes Information Systems.  Crystal was an incredibly intelligent woman with a witty and spunky sense of humor.  She loved Jeopardy, watching movies, television series Project Runway, Nascar, dogs, cats, dolphins, Football (Go Chiefs!), and other spectator sports. She will certainly be watching the Superbowl from Heaven!  She had a great fascination with Egyptian mythology and artifacts, and she was very proud of her Cherokee and Delaware American Indian Heritage.

Crystal lived in Houston, TX, then Richmond, VA, before returning to Coffeyville around 2000.  After returning to Coffeyville, Crystal worked at the Coffeyville Community College and for Safe House upon her retirement.

The family she leaves behind is daughter, Angel and her husband, Rob Raffety, of Bellevue, NE: grandchildren, Tiffany (Windsor) Killian (30), Christian Windsor (28) both of Omaha, NE, Nathaniel (22), Bobby (17), Lucas (10) and Andrew (8) Raffety all of Bellevue, NE; great grandchildren, Jeremiah Harrell (13), Jennifer Killian (5) of Omaha, NE; brother, Clay Heady and his wife Ruth Ann of Mt. Holly, NC; beloved sister from another mother, Jenifer Hall of Houston, TX; nieces and nephews, Natalie Bryant, Heather Heady, Mark Heady, Bill Miller, Kandi Sifferath, John Miller; numerous cousins and friends.

She is now at rest with her parents, grandparents, daughter, Misty Michelle Windsor (09/2/1995), sister, Connie (Heady) Layton (05/15/2010), and nephew Daniel Miller (1/14/2020).

A private burial will take place under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel where she will be laid to rest with her daughter, Misty, in the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville.  To leave a message of condolence or share in a memory visit www.fordwulfbrunschapel.com
