Funeral services for Dale Norris Urwin of Byron, Minnesota, formerly of Pierce, Nebraska will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday July 24, 2009, at Christ Lutheran Church in Pierce, Nebraska, with Reverend Matthew Bahnfleth. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Stonacek Memorial Chapel, Pierce, NE. Military rites will be by Tomek-Otto Post 72 American Legion, Pierce, NE and United States Army Honors Guard. Burial will be at Harrisonville Cemetery located north of Tyro, Kansas on Monday, July 27, 2009. He is survived by his younger sister Marva Wragge of Pierce, Nebraska; children Linda Nees of Alda, NE, Dick Urwin of Hastings, NE, Wilma Purdy of Gahanna, OH, Julie Swank of Byron, MN; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patty; parents, sons, William and Jimmy; brothers Adrian, Lynn, George, and twin brother Dallas; and his sisters, Elva Fincke, Agnes Wilda McCrady, Abby Zierke, Erma Kendall, Lydia Flemming-Cwach and Claire Urwin. Local funeral services are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel of Coffeyville, KS.
