Dana Henry

Dana Robert Henry, age 62 of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at his home.

He was born July 8, 1954 to Robert (Bob) and Eileen Henry. He graduated from Field Kindley High School in 1972 and earned his associates degree at Coffeyville Community College in 1975. During his high school years he worked for his father's auto parts store, Henry Auto Parts.

In 1975 he married Blenda Kay Trask. They were later divorced. From that union he was blessed with one daughter, Kay (Katie) Eileen Henry who passed away in December 2016.

In 1982 he joined the army serving 2 tours in Korea, he was also stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Dana received an Honorable Discharge after thirteen years of dedicated service.

Upon his discharge he worked for Wal-Mart distribution in Florida and then later transferred to Ottawa, Kansas. He was later a security guard at Cessna until his retirement due to health reasons.

He is survived by brothers, Terry Henry and his wife Donna of Delray Beach, Florida, Dee Henry of Kansas City, Missouri, Rick Henry of Coffeyville, Kansas; sisters, Sherri and her husband Rick Ellis, Candy and her husband Ray Bliss all of Coffeyville, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas at 1:00 pm with Pastor Diane Massey officiating. Inurnment will be in Restlawn Memorial Cemetery. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made payable to the First Presbyterian Church. Contributions may be left with the chapel.
