Danny Mullins

Danny Ray Mullins, 55, of Nowata, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, June 12. 2012 at J. Phillips Nowata Medical Center in Nowata. Danny was born on December 28, 1956 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Kenneth Mullins and Phyllis Marie Harwood. He grew up in Wann, Oklahoma where he attended local schools. He later moved to Nowata where he resided until his passing. In March of 2004 Danny moved into the Osage Nursing Center in Nowata, Oklahoma where he made many friends whom he considered family. He greatly enjoyed the activities and gathering hosted by the nursing home. Most of all he had a great love for stuffed animals. He collected hundreds and cherished them all. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving to honor his memory is his sister, Lisa Royer and her boyfriend, Paul Lee stepfather, Marion Royer all of Nowata, Oklahoma numerous, aunts, uncles and nursing home family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Phyllis brother, Rickey grandparents, Ruth and Edgar Harwood. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Wendell Abbott will officiate. Funeral arrangements are being handled by PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Osage Nursing Center in Nowata, Oklahoma these may be left with the funeral home.
