Daphna Gilliland

Daphna Rae Gilliland, 71 died suddenly on April 30, 2006 in Sun City, Arizona. She was born July 4, 1934 in Buhl, Idaho. Daphna attended schools in Coffeyville, Kansas and Hammond, Indiana. She graduated from Ball State University with a Master of Arts Degree in education and taught school in Indiana, Gillette and Casper Wyoming. In 1958, Daphna was married to O.L. Gilliland. They were married in Casper, Wyoming. They remained married until he passed away. Daphna enjoyed socializing with her friends, dining out, movies, helping others and the Sun City Arizona lifestyle. She was a loving mother and a wonderful teacher. She had many special friends all over the world and was so muchh loved by all. Daphna will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law Shauna and Bruce Beal of Witchfield Park, Arizona; her granddaughter, Amanda Hughes, three grandsons, Ethan, Aidan and Jordon Beal. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Madeline Shope and her husband O.L. Gilliland Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be intered at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2006 in Penwell Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas under the direction of the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home of Coffeyville.
