Darlene R. Clithero, age 89 of Coffeyville passed away on August 1, 2013, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
Darlene was born on March 20, 1924 to Charles and Belle Ackridge Rexwinkle in Craig County, Oklahoma. Darlene has lived in Coffeyville her entire life.
The Funeral service date has changed. The service will now be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 10:00 am at FordWulfBruns Chapel, Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Mark Wilson of 1st Church of God will be officiating. Friends may call to sign the register on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm with the family receiving guest from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at FordWulfBruns Chapel. Darlene was united in marriage to Clyde Foster and he preceded her in death in 1969. She then married Charles Clithero and he also preceded her in death in 1998. Darlene worked for SEK Corporation Meals on Wheels.
Darlene was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, quilting, crocheting and most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving to honor her memory is her sons, Clyde Foster, Vernon Foster and Tim Foster, all of Coffeyville, Kansas daughters, Barbara Moore and Cathy Fugate also of Coffeyville, Kansas brothers Bill Rexwinkle of Grove, Oklahoma and Ralph Rexwinkle sister, Ann Gerdes of Edna, Kansas she is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Belle Rexwinkle husbands, Clyde Foster and Charles Clithero brothers, Tom Rexwinkle, Clifford Rexwinkle, Leonard and Virgil Rexwinkle sisters, Ethel Privitt, Mable Kimrey, Edith Kimrey, Lucille Bryson and infant sister Arlen Rexwinkle.
