Delbert Coons

Delbert Ray Coons, age 67, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at his home in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2012 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas with the Reverend Doug Mund of the Grace Fellowship Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Robbins Cemetery under the direction of the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. Friends may leave online condolences at www.fordwulfbrunsfuneralhome.com.

The family has suggested memorials to the Coffeyville Friends of Animals or the American Cancer Society and contributions may be left at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Delbert Ray Coons was born October 14, 1945 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Marion and Alice Osborne Coons. Delbert grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas and graduated from the Coffeyville High School.

On June 11, 1965 Delbert married Martha Donaghe in Coffeyville, Kansas where the couple made their home. Delbert worked as a Machinist for Jensens for 45 years retiring in 2010.

Survivors include his wife Martha of the home one son Ted Coons of Coffeyville, Kansas one brother John Coons of Coffeyville, Kansas one sister Charlotte Heitt of Sarasota, Florida four grandchildren Bryan Coons of Coffeyville, Lindsay Coons of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Randy Coons of Oklahoma and Nicole Cross of San Antonio, Texas one great grandson Christian Coons of Coffeyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son William Coons one sister Shirley Garner one brother Carl Coons and one great granddaughter Brooklyn Coons.
