Delpha M. Simmons 1914 - 2005 Delpha M. Simmons, age 91, Coffeyville, Kansas resident, passed away on November 22, 2005 at the Windsor Place Nursing Home, Coffeyville, Kansas. She was born January 24, 1914 in Ozark, Missouri to Robert James Trotter and Rosie Mae Tatum Trotter. She attended Field Kindley Memorial High School. On January 24, 1931 she married Paul E. Simmons in Nowata, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death September 25, 1978. She was a homemaker. Mr. and Mrs. Simmons also owned and operated Simmons Auto Repair at 1201 So. Walnut in Coffeyville for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and attended Sunday School at the First United Methodist Church both of Coffeyville. She was a member of the AARP, Friendship Club, National Campers and Hikers, Kansas Sate Campers, Kansas retired Sun Chasers and the Chief Black Dog Campers. She was an avid bowler and golfer. She is survived by her son, Don Simmons Linda, Bella Vista, Arkansas, one daughter, Pat Harbaugh Ted, Tulsa, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren. One sister, Betty Rice, Coffeyville, Kansas; one brother, Paul Trotter, Neosho, Missouri. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Don Simmons, Jr., 3 brothers. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., Family and friends will gather at the Penwell-Gabel Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery prior to services. Rev. Wayne Norton of the First Baptist Church will be presiding. There will not be any set calling hours or visitation at the Funeral Home Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville are handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church in lieu of flowers co Funeral Home
