Donna L Lotz age 86 of Edna, passed away on September 20, 2021 at Labette Health in Parsons.
Donna was born in Coffeyville on January 27, 1935 to J. Paul and Mable (McKnight) Thomas. She attended grammar school in Edna and graduated from Altamont with the class of 1952. After high school she married Ted Lotz on July 2, 1954. The couple made their home on a farm south of Edna where they farmed and ranched. They were blessed with two sons and a daughter. Donna and Ted loved horseback riding, rodeoing, and raising animals. Donna was a member of the Edna Round Up Club, she enjoyed working puzzles, reading, and working in her flower beds. She worked for Public Finance, Funks, McKee Cattle Company, Country Mart, and Walmart, in addition to owning a dog kennel and grooming business. Donna was very independent, maybe even a touch set in her ways. She always had time for her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s events, and she loved watching the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball games.
Donna’s memories will live on with her children, Michael Leroy Lotz his wife Carla of Edna, KS, Alan L Lotz his wife Sue of Edna, KS, and Terri Lynn Lotz of Spring Hill, KS, her brother Alan Thomas of Monkey Island, OK, grandchildren; Triston D Lotz his wife Diamond of Edna, KS, Caitlyn Tremain her husband Chad of Shawnee, KS, and Blaine Lotz of Edna, KS and great-grandson Thomas Weaver, and her beloved dog KoKo.
She now rests with her parents and husband Ted.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Edna Baptist Church with burial following at the North Edna Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The family suggests memorials be made payable to the Edna Public Library and they may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
