Doris Nadine Blevins 1920 - 2005 Doris Nadine Blevins, age 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday evening November 25, 2005 at the Mercy Hospital of Independence, Kansas. She was born April 21, 1920 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Thomas Wentworth Higginson and Alice Leota Mills Higginson. She graduated Field Kindley High School - 1938. She also graduated from Coffeyville Junior College - 1941. On April 3, 1942 she married Clarence Blevins. They later
orced. She worked for the Condon Bank in the Accounting Department, Parsons Ammunition Plant, Main Dollar Store, Walmart and later owned and operated her own daycare. Hobbies include: She was an avid Ravens and Field Kindley Fan, KC Royals Fan, Sewing, Gardening, Puzzles. Survivors include: 2 sons, Jim Blevins Beverly, Coffeyville; Tom BlevinsDelores, Coffeyville. 6 grandchildren, Cindy Neises, Tracy Blevins, Darla Samples, Julie Cowles, Jamie Blevins and Shannon Carriker. 9 great grandchildren 2 sisters, Phyllis Cook, Coffeyville and Mary Lou Smith, Cincinnatti, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Donald Higginson and Thomas Higginson, 1 sister, Betty Griffin. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 1, 2005 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville. Pastor Wayne Martin of the Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church will be presiding. Calling hoursVisitation: will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at the Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m..
