Coffeyville resident, Doris J. Hilton passed away Monday, March 3, 2008. She was 74. Doris was born August 24, 1933 in rural Tyro, Kansas to Jacob Clarence and Nettie Ophelia Yelton Bronnenberg. She grew up and attended school in rural Tyro. She graduated from Field Kindley High School. November 26, 1953 she was united in marriage to Billie Bill Delbert Hilton at the Tyro Methodist Church. He preceded her in death in 2003. Doris worked for and retired twice from Sears. After retirement she worked as a Pink Lady in the CRMC Gift Shop and helped at the Plaza Pharmacy. She enjoyed working, sewing, gardening and reading Good House Keeping. She is survived by daughter, Glen and Cynthia Mangels of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; sons, Robert Bob and Venice Hilton, John Hilton all of Coffeyville, Richard and Patricia Hilton of Wann, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Bronnenberg of Denver, Colorado and Dwight Bronnenberg of Mulvane, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers; one sister and one granddaughter. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Pastor Ivy Collier will officiate. Burial will follow at Robbins Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home where the family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. that evening. Memorial contributions can be made to the United Methodist Church of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of the funeral home.
