Doris Kendrick

Doris Jane Kendrick of Coffeyville passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010 at CRMC. She was 83. Doris was born on September 21, 1927 in Fort Worth, Texas to Elmer and Sarah Froman Morgan. She grew up in the Coffeyville area where she graduated from Field Kindley High School and Coffeyville Community College. On September 25, 1947 she was united in marriage to William Scott Kendrick. The couple made their home in Coffeyville. Doris worked for 43 years as an accountant for Thompson Brothers in Coffeyville. She was a life time member of the Emanuel Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville. Doris enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, boating and most of all spending time with her family. Surviving to honor her memory are her sons, Steve Kendrick and wife, Sheryl, David Kendrick all of Coffeyville brother, Dr. Darold Morgan and wife, Elizabeth of Richardson, TX, Harold Morgan and wife, Lila of Pratt, KS sister, Norma Briggs of Carthage, TX three grandchildren, Michael Kendrick wife, Tiffany Jason Kendrick and wife Angie Carissa Slavin and husband Marc all of Coffeyville and eight greatgrandchildren, Brady and Kaelyn Kendrick, Amber, Erin, and Lance Kendrick, Nicholas, Zachary, and Joshua Slavin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Sarah loving husband, Scott and brother, Donald Dean Morgan. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Reverend Wayne Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. to sign the guest register. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville. These may be left with the funeral home.
